The visuals in this game are simply stunning: car models are insanely detailed, with reflective surfaces that look incredible under any weather condition. If you’re not familiar with this engine, suffice to say that it is the same one used in other Codemaster titles like Dirt 3 and Grid 2. Powered by Codemasters’ own Ego engine, the graphics in F1 2013 are top-notch. This is a game for players who are looking for the most realistic racing experience possible, so it might not appeal as much to those who would prefer a more arcadey racing game. This means being on a better rated team will allow you to win with more ease.Unlike other racing games, F1 2013 is based on a highly tactical sport: Formula racing isn’t as fashionable as the races we see in games like Need for Speed Underground, but it is every bit as good.į1 2013 is a simulation game: you won’t find any wacky powerups or unrealistic handling here. Some teams have faster, better designed cars than others.

The more you stay behind the AI's car, the more likely he will make a mistake, allowing you to overtake them. The AI DOES NOT do well under pressure. Learning both of these will help you improve times on laps and overtake opponents with ease. KERS and DRS are KEY to winning the race. Learning to accelerate your car during a turn will give you the biggest advantage to becoming an expert in this driving sector and winning this game. This means the cars are designed to attach itself to the ground (for those who are new players). Learning between the different sets of tires will allow you to have an advantage over the AI while racing and produce better strategies for your race. Learning to manage Fuel and Tires is ESSENTIAL in this game, especially in career. However, learning this method will allow you to shift gears faster allowing to accelerate and either catch up to opponents or do better in Time Trials / Time Attack. It is not required to learn to drive Manual Gears.
